It is always extremely simple to gate out the CD8+ population alongside with a Live/Dead fluorescent dye to specifically look at the live CD8+ populations. From there, you can look at other markers of your interest. For our project, we were interested in the effects of Rapamycin in culture and the effect it has on pS6 on the CD8s. It works well for gating out CD8s.
