Adherant cell lines like solid tumors attach to tissue treated culture plates or flasks. In order to detach these cells, you need to digest the their extracellular matrix using this trypsin solution as a protease enzyme. This ready made solution is added to cells after washing to detach them in to single cells.

Tips

Wash away culture media then wash 1x with appropriate volume of PBS before adding trypsin solution based on size of plastic. Incubate at 37 deg until cells are off. Quench reaction with media containing serum to prevent over digestion.

Results Summary

This solution nicely detaches the cells into single cells from the plastic.
