Our lab focuses on cell metabolism and immunology therefore it is important for us to have a reliable kit to isolate our cells our interest. We have recently switched over to biolegend due to the low cost compared to other companies and have been having great progress optimizing it.

Results Summary

The yield is a bit inconsistent but purity-wise is always above 90%. The cost of this kit is way below other companies and we have optimized the kit to use 90% less antibodies and still produce the same purity and yield.

The Good

The cost of this kit is a lot lower than other companies and purity is always good.

The Bad

This kit does take longer incubation compared to the Miltenyi kit and the beads themselves are bigger; therefore, vortex the beads well before adding to your sample.

The Bottom Line

This kit is a great alternative to other costly brands. The purity is great, the yield is good, and changing to this brand has cut our lab's cost by a few thousands of dollar a year.
