This thermal cycler is effective and reliable for every time we want to run PCR. The small size makes it easy for us to put on a bench top. The touchscreen also makes it easy to change settings and select for customizable protocols.

We combined the DNA obtained from mouse tail and did a PCR reaction in 8-tube PCR strips. Since we genotype our own mice, we require multiple strips for quick PCR.
Leaving the machine overnight is also doable
Make sure to turn off the PCR and let it cool a bit otherwise it may overheat
