Sometimes our protein yield might be lower than expected, but the samples are difficult to extract. We rely on the Femto to enhance our western blot membrane signals.

Protocol Overview

We mix equal parts of the two substrates and then we apply the solution onto our western blot membranes. We leave it for at least 5 minutes before we expose with our imaging system.

Tips

Never leave the solution on for shorter than 5 minutes.

Results Summary

Sometimes when we use the SuperSignal Western Pico Plus, our bands would not show up, but after using the Femto, the bands would show up immediately. The Femto does wonders to samples that are extremely faint.

The Bottom Line

Definitely sensitive enough to detect very low quantitiy of protein samples or samples that are difficult to see using regular ECL. However, the price of the Femto makes it a choice that should only be used during necessary times.
