Our lab has been using this ECL for all of our western blots with no problem. We use it for our everyday western blots for murine T cells, tumor cells, macrophages, lung tissue, adipose tissue, etc.

After washing the blots with TBS, we added the solutions at a 1:1 ratio and we applied the mixed solution on top of our membrane to cover the entire membrane. After 5 minutes, we would then drain the excess reagent and ready the membrane for imaging.
Don't mix the two reagents too early before it is time for ECL.
It is consistently reliable and the membranes are always bright enough for our imaging.
