Company:

Thermo Fisher Scientific

Product Name:

Dynabeads® Human T-Activator CD3/CD28 for T Cell Expansion and Activation

Catalog Number:

11132D

We used these beads for activation and expansion of human CD8 and CD4 T cells. These beads lead to robust activation of T cells.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Application

Activation and expansion of human T cells

Starting Material

Purified naive human CD4 or CD8 T cells

Protocol Overview

Beads are washed with appropriate media using a magnet. The beads are added to cell culture 1 µl of beads per 10^4 cells. Examine the cultures daily for size, shape, and proliferation. Clustering should occur when cells are attached to beads.

Tips

Make sure to wash beads since they contain azide.

Results Summary

Cells are robustly activated and expanded. Cells are fully functional compared to naive T cells.
