I have used this antibody to detect AKTIP through western blot in a number of sample types and organisms. It has worked very well in all tested samples, from brain tissue of rat and mouse, PC12 cells, SH-5Y5Y, C. elegant to peripheral blood cells from humans. I am quite sure nobody has tested this antibody in such range of organisms. In all cases reactivity was quite good at 1:1,000 dilution without presence of unspecific bands. AKTIP seems very conserved among these species as band size was the same molecular weight, around 32 KDa.
Western Blot
rodent brain, PC12, SH-5y5y, C. elegans and PBMC from humans
Western blot was performed as conventional.
Sample from brain usually display very faint bands of greater and lower molecular weight
