mTORC1 activity very critical for the generation of effector CD8 T cells. Our lab studies the asymmetric division of mTORC1 activity during CD8 T cell differentiation. We used this antibody to assess mTORC1 activity via flow cytometry during an in vivo immune response. Since this antibody was directly conjugated, it made it easier to include in our flow panel.

Results Summary

We were readily available to determine mTORC1 activity on a per cell basis using this antibody. In our experimental model, we determined there was two population of cells displaying high and low mTORC1 activity using pS6 as a readout.

Summary

The Good

Great robust antibody to measure mTORC1 activity

The Bad

None

The Bottom Line

Great antibody. Even though the cost might seem high, the dilution at 1:1000 or even higher with certain cell types is totally worth it.
