Company:

Invitrogen Antibodies

Product Name:

CD278 (ICOS) Monoclonal Antibody (C398.4A), APC, eBioscience™

Catalog Number:

17-9949-80

This antibody, when properly optimized gives bright and distinct signal. The conjugated APC maintains its stability for over two weeks when fixed. We utilize this antibody to investigate T cells in autoimmune disease and find it to be bright and reliable regardless of the size of the cell population.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Applications

Flow Cytometry

Sample

Murine T lymphocytes

Primary Incubation

Dilute 1:200 for 30 minutes at 4 degrees Celcius

Blocking Agent

FC Block

Secondary Incubation

Detection

BD LSR II or BD FACS Aria II

Results Summary

Fixed or unfixed, this antibody maintains robust signal for a variety of applications. On some populations ICOS can appear as a shoulder population but it can be easily identified in as a histogram with B cells as a generally reliable negative control.

Summary

The Good

Bright stain that can be titrated

The Bad

Be careful when titrating but for some applications it can be used at a greater dilution than 1:200.

The Bottom Line

This works well for staining ICOS and can maintain robust color for up to 2 weeks on fixed cells.
