We tested these beads for activation and expansion of human CD8 and CD4 T cells. Activated cells are later used for transduction or cultured to expand purified cells.
Activation and expansion of human T cells
Purified human CD4 or CD8 T cells
Beads are washed with PBS and added to cell culture 25ul of beads per 10^6 cells in a 24 well plate. Examine the cultures daily for size, shape and proliferation.
Very straightforward
The cells looked well activated and expanded appropriately.

Expensive
The beads work great for activation and expansion of human T cells. However plate bound aCD3/aCD28 as well as soluble antibodies work just as well at a fraction of the cost.
