The aim of this experiment was to determine the proportion of RBC'S bound to IgA immunoglobulin from dogs that have suspected immune mediated hemolytic anemia. This antibody serves the purpose of detecting such bound RBC's.

100ul of 1:100diluted 1mg/ml antibody with the 100ul of washed cells incubated for 30mins in the dark.

The results generated by flow cytometry are in the form of percent positive or negative. In the case of dogs that are suspected of IMHA, we do see a positive population of cells bound to IgA. The percentage of these cells varies from dog to dog.
