This kit is used to purify plasmid from bacteria. The kit has simple instructions and produces high quality plasmids with good 260/280 and 260/230 readings. It is also a little cheaper than other kits. Overall, this is a good plasmid miniprep kit.

Grow bacteria containing plasmid overnight. Spin down culture to pellet bacteria. Follow kit's instructions for resuspending, isolating, and purifying and eluting plasmid DNA.
Wait 1 minute before eluting to help get off all the DNA on the column
The plasmid DNA produced is high quality with good 260/230 and 260/280 numbers. The plasmid has also been used in subsequent cloning applications. Thus, it is good to use with downstream applications.
