For Western blot analysis, we strip the membranes so we can identify two proteins that are at very similar molecular weights.

After membrane has been imaged with the first antibody, place the membrane in stripping buffer for 15 minutes and proceed with incubation in the secondary antibody you wish to use
You can re-use the stripping buffer
Signal from the first antibody is completely gone after stripping so it is easy to use the same membrane for multiple antibodies
