We study the effects of cigarette smoke in airway epithelial cells. This is a great model to expose the cells to whole cigarette smoke (instead of condensate).

Cells were exposed to whole smoke using the Vitrocell VC10 smoke exposure system with the smoke from 3R4F research grade cigarettes (Lexington, KY) or air as a control.

Great model to use

The Bad

The robot requires cleaning. Would strongly recommend a smoker to do this job. The smoke accumulates in different parts and when dissembling the robot, this experience to a smoker would not be as bad compared to a non smoker.
