Hormone Multiplex Assays

Hormone Multiplex Assays Hormone multiplex assays are immunoassays designed to detect multiple hormones simultaneously. Bead-based hormone multiplex assays use beads with different colored dyes at distinct ratios that can be bound to unique analytes. The addition of a secondary antibody conjugated to a fluorescent reporter then allows quantitative measurement of the corresponding analyte in the assay. Human hormone multiplex assays can be used with plasma and urine samples to detect hormones such as adrenaline, noradrenaline, and dopamine. Hormone assays specific to different species such as rat and mouse are also available. Multiplex assays are more advantageous than traditional ELISAs as they can detect multiple analytes at once from a given sample, which can save time, labor, and cost, as well as sample material. Visit the supplier page for more assay information, including exact hormones that can be detected and assay kit contents.
