Open-air platform shakers are versatile instruments to call upon when biological samples need to be mixed, shaken, or agitated for a controlled and prolonged period. Lacking an enclosure, it is easy to access vessels on its platform. However, if incubation is needed, these shakers can also be placed inside a larger incubator or a temperature-controlled room.
