HTRF Microplate Readers

HTRF Microplate Readers Specialized microplate readers are available that enable HTRF (Homogeneous Time-Resolved Fluorescence) experiments and analyses. An HTRF assay measures the fluorescence energy transfer between molecules in close proximity. Signals are detected at two different wavelengths (typically 620 nm and 665 nm), which are used to calculate the fluorescence ratio and compensate for compound interference and sample quenching. HTRF is often used in applications such as drug target studies in high-throughput screening, assays for protein-protein, protein-peptide, and protein-DNA/RNA interaction, and antibody-based assays including GPCR signaling.
