Antibody Diluents

Antibody diluents are ready-to-use solutions for the dilution and storage of antibodies in immunodetection procedures, such as IHC, flow cytometry, ELISA, and blots. These diluents are optimized to ensure the preservation of antibody quality, even for longer periods of time. They generally contain a buffering agent, such as Tris or PBS, that maintains a favorable biological pH for the antibody and the relevant application. Some diluents may contain stabilizing carrier proteins (to reduce protein degradation), wetting agents, detergents, antimicrobials, salts, and other additives for stabilization or to prevent non-specific antibody binding.
