Description

Human T cells are lymphocytes that are generally characterized by the expression of CD3 on the cell surface. These cells originate in the bone marrow, migrate to the thymus to undergo maturation, and are one of the key cell types involved in cell-mediated immunity. T cells are involved in destroying invading organisms and also aid in the activation of B cells through the thymus-dependent response. StemExpress provides human CD3+ pan T cells from healthy IRB consented donors that are negative for HBV, HCV and HIV. Pan T cells are negatively selected from peripheral blood mononuclear cells. Cells expressing CD14, CD16, CD19, CD20, CD36, CD56, CD66b, CD123 and CD235a are depleted from the mononuclear cell population using immunomagnetic particles leaving purified, untouched CD3+ pan T cells. Isolated primary cells are characterized by the expression of CD45, CD3 and PI using flow cytometry to ensure a =85% purity and >95% viablity prior to cryopreservation.
