Microfluidic Chip / Microchip Electrophoresis Systems

Characterizing DNA-protein interactions by ChIP (chromatin immunoprecipitation assay) is simplified with the incorporation of microfluidic technology. ChIP micorofluidic systems include automated electrophoresis platforms and kits to facilitate the experimental procedure and analysis with fewer incidences of contamination and errors. Automated systems are available with or without a processor or laptop, and kits can be chosen by DNA fragment size range. For example, Agilent DNA 1000 and 12000 kits are specific for fragments ranges from 25 to 1000 bp or 100 to 12000 bp, respectively. Additionally, these kits are supplied with reagents, consumables, and microfluidic chips. Sizing and quantification of nucleic acids and proteins are simplified with microfluidic-based automated electrophoresis systems that require minimal volumes of sample, produce results in less than an hour, and are achieved with just a push of a button. Any genomics lab’s requirements will be met by evaluating the products dedicated to microfluidic ChIP technololgy.
