COX5A ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein cytochrome c oxidase subunit 5A, which is encoded by the COX5A gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a known component of the cytochrome c oxidase, the last enzyme in the mitochondrial electron transport chain which drives oxidative phosphorylation. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 150 residues, a mass of 16.8 kDa, and is a member of the Cytochrome c oxidase subunit 5A protein family. It is known to be localized in the mitochondria. The COX5A gene has been associated with the disease, Mitochondrial complex IV deficiency. Other alias names for this target include COX-VA, MC4DN20, VA, cytochrome c oxidase subunit 5A, mitochondrial, cytochrome c oxidase polypeptide Va, and COX.
There are COX5A ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 20 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
