ZBED1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein zinc finger BED-type containing 1, which is encoded by the ZBED1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to function as a E3-type small ubiquitin-like modifier (SUMO) ligase which sumoylates CHD3/Mi2-alpha, causing its release from DNA. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 694 residues and a mass of 78.2 kDa. It is known to be localized in the nucleus and is found to be widely expressed at low levels. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally sumoylated. Other alias names for this target include DREF, TRAMP, hDREF, E3 SUMO-protein ligase ZBED1, Ac-like transposable element, and ALTE.
