HPS5 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein HPS5 biogenesis of lysosomal organelles complex 2 subunit 2, which is encoded by the HPS5 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is believed to regulate the synthesis and function of lysosomes and of highly specialized organelles, such as melanosomes and platelet dense granules. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 1129 residues, a mass of 127.4 kDa, and is a member of the HPS5 protein family. It is known to be localized in the cytoplasm and is widely expressed across many tissue types. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The HPS5 gene has been associated with the disease, Hermansky-Pudlak syndrome. Other alias names for this target include BLOC2S2, BLOC-2 complex member HPS5, Hermansky-Pudlak syndrome 5 protein, alpha integrin binding protein 63, ruby-eye protein 2 homolog, and AIBP63.
The detection range for different HPS5 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
