PTPRH ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein protein tyrosine phosphatase receptor type H, which is encoded by the PTPRH gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to be a protein phosphatase that may contribute to contact inhibition of cell growth and motility by mediating the dephosphorylation of focal adhesion-associated substrates and thus negatively regulating integrin-promoted signaling processes. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 1115 residues, a mass of 122.4 kDa, and is a member of the Protein-tyrosine phosphatase protein family. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane, cell projections, and cytoplasm and is notably expressed at high levels in the brain, spleen and liver and at lower levels in the heart and stomach. As many as 3 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated. Other alias names for this target include SAP1, stomach cancer-associated protein tyrosine phosphatase 1, transmembrane-type protein-tyrosine phosphatase type H, and R-PTP-H.
