GnT-4a ELISA Kits

These GnT-4a ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of GnT-4a in biological samples. GnT-4a is an alias of the human MGAT4A gene, which encodes the protein, alpha-1,3-mannosyl-glycoprotein 4-beta-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase A. Notably, GnT-4a is known to play a role in protein glycosylation, among other functions. The MGAT4A protein is 535 amino acid residues in length and 61.5 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 2 protein isoforms have been identified. Its subcellular localization is in the golgi and is secreted. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to be expressed in pancreas, spleen, thymus, prostate, small intestine, peripheral blood leukocytes and lymph node. This protein is known to be N-glycosylated. Other names for this target antigen include GNT-IV, GNT-IVA, and GnT-4a.     We used this antibody to immunofluorescently label astrocytes in the mouse dorsal hippocampus following astrocyte-specific MOR knockdown. The signal was bright, highly specific, and compatible with multi-channel confocal imaging together with mCherry, DAPI, SOX9, Iba1, nitrotyrosine, and SOD1 markers.
