These 11-beta-HSD2 ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of 11-beta-HSD2 in biological samples. 11-beta-HSD2 is an alias of the human HSD11B2 gene, which encodes the protein, hydroxysteroid 11-beta dehydrogenase 2. Notably, 11-beta-HSD2 is known to play a role in the response to xenobiotic compounds, among other functions. The HSD11B2 protein is described to be 405 amino acid residues in length and 44.1 kilodaltons in mass. It is localized to the ER of the cell. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to be expressed in kidney, placenta, pancreas, prostate, ovary, small intestine and colon, and in lower levels in the spleen and testis. Other names for this target antigen include AME, AME1, and HSD11K. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
