These GAL1 ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of GAL1 in biological samples. GAL1 is an alias of the human LGALS1 gene, which encodes the protein, galectin 1. Notably, GAL1 is known to play a role in the apoptotic pathway and cell adhesion, among other functions. The LGALS1 protein is described to be 135 amino acid residues in length and 14.7 kilodaltons in mass. Its subcellular localization is in the extracellular matrix, cytoplasm, and is secreted. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to be expressed in placenta, maternal decidua and fetal membranes. Other names for this target antigen include GBP.
The detection range for different GAL1 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 31.2 pg/mL and as high as 50 ng/mL. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
