LRP5 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein LDL receptor related protein 5, which is encoded by the LRP5 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to act as a coreceptor with members of the frizzled family of seven-transmembrane spanning receptors to transduce signal by Wnt proteins. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 1615 residues, a mass of 179.1 kDa, and is a member of the LDLR protein family. It is known to be localized in the ER and membrane and is found to be widely expressed, with the highest level of expression in the liver and in aorta. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally phosphorylated and glycosylated. The LRP5 gene has been associated with the disease, Vitreoretinopathy. Other alias names for this target include EVR1, EVR4, HBM, LR3, LRP-7, LRP7, OPPG, and BMND1.
The detection range for different LRP5 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 7 ng/L and as high as 50 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
