These Sialidase 1 ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of Sialidase 1 in biological samples. Sialidase 1 is an alias of the human NEU1 gene, which encodes the protein, neuraminidase 1. The protein is known to catalyze the removal of sialic acid (N-acetylneuraminic acid) moieties from glycoproteins and glycolipids. The NEU1 protein is described to be 415 amino acid residues in length and 45.5 kilodaltons in mass. It is localized to the cytoplasmic vesicles, lysosomes, and cell membrane of the cell. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to be highly expressed in pancreas, followed by skeletal muscle, kidney, placenta, heart, lung and liver. This protein is known to be N-glycosylated and phosphorylated. Other names for this target antigen include NANH, NEU, and SIAL1.
The detection range for different Sialidase 1 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 0.1 ng/mL and as high as 40 ng/mL. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
