These HE4 ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of HE4 in biological samples. HE4 is an alias of the human WFDC2 gene, which encodes the protein, WAP four-disulfide core domain 2. Notably, HE4 is known to play a role in innate immune responses and proteolysis, among other functions. The WFDC2 protein is 124 amino acid residues in length and 13 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 5 protein isoforms have been identified. It is known to be a secreted protein. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to be expressed in a number of normal tissues, including male reproductive system, regions of the respiratory tract and nasopharynx. This protein is known to be glycosylated. Other names for this target antigen include EDDM4 and WAP5.
There are HE4 ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 2.44 pg/mL and as high as 1000 ng/mL. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
