NSUN5 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein NOP2/Sun RNA methyltransferase 5, which is encoded by the NSUN5 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to be a S-adenosyl-L-methionine-dependent methyltransferase that specifically methylates the C(5) position of cytosine 3782 (m5C3782) in 28S rRNA. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 429 residues, a mass of 46.7 kDa, and is a member of the RsmB/NOP protein family. It is known to be localized in the nucleus and is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. As many as 5 protein isoforms have been reported. Other alias names for this target include NOL1-related protein, NOL1/NOP2/Sun domain family member 5, NOP2/Sun RNA methyltransferase family member 5, NOP2/Sun domain family, member 5, and 28S rRNA (cytosine-C(5))-methyltransferase.
The detection range for different NSUN5 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
