FNIP2 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein folliculin interacting protein 2, which is encoded by the FNIP2 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to be a binding partner of the GTPase-activating protein FLCN: involved in the cellular response to amino acid availability by regulating the mTORC1 signaling cascade controlling the MiT/TFE factors TFEB and TFE3. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 1114 residues, a mass of 122.1 kDa, and is a member of the FNIP protein family. It is known to be localized in the lysosomes and cytoplasm and is reported to be widely expressed with highest levels in muscle, nasal mucosa, salivary gland, uvula, fat, liver, heart, placenta and pancreas. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally phosphorylated. Other alias names for this target include FNIP1-like protein and O6-methylguanine-induced apoptosis 1 protein.
