These Sialidase 4 ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of Sialidase 4 in biological samples. Sialidase 4 is an alias of the human NEU4 gene, which encodes the protein, neuraminidase 4. The protein is a reported exo-alpha-sialidase that catalyzes the hydrolytic cleavage of the terminal sialic acid (N-acetylneuraminic acid, Neu5Ac) of a glycan moiety in the catabolism of glycolipids, glycoproteins and oligosacharides. The NEU4 protein is 484 amino acid residues in length and 51.6 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 3 protein isoforms have been identified. It is localized to the mitochondria, ER, and cell membrane of the cell. This protein is known to be N-glycosylated. Other names for this target antigen include sialidase-4.
Some Sialidase 4 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 20 ng/L and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
