SQSTM1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein sequestosome 1, which is encoded by the SQSTM1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be an autophagy receptor required for selective macroautophagy (aggrephagy). The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 440 residues and a mass of 47.7 kDa. It is known to be localized in the nucleus, cytoplasmic vesicles, ER, lysosomes and cytoplasm and is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally ubiquitinated, cleaved and phosphorylated. The SQSTM1 gene has been associated with the disease, Paget disease of bone. Other alias names for this target include A170 and DMRV.
The detection range for different SQSTM1 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 625 pg/mL and as high as 30 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
