The NIS ELISA kits listed below utilize specific antibodies for the plate-based assay of NIS in various samples. NIS is another term for the SLC5A5 gene, which encodes the protein, solute carrier family 5 member 5 in humans. It has been reported that NIS plays a role in the transport of ions, among other functions. Structurally, the SLC5A5 protein is described to be 643 amino acid residues in length and 68.7 kilodaltons in mass. It is localized to the cell membrane and cytoplasm of the cell. This protein is known to be glycosylated. Other names for this target antigen include TDH1 and sodium/iodide cotransporter.
Some NIS ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 0.15 ng/mL and as high as 50 ng/mL. Click on the following ELISA kits for more detailed information, including target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
