These HIC5 ELISA kits are immunodetection tools for measuring the levels of HIC5 in biological samples. HIC5 is an alias of the human TGFB1I1 gene, which encodes the protein, transforming growth factor beta 1 induced transcript 1. Notably, HIC5 is known to play a role in cell adhesion and epithelial cell differentiation, among other functions. The TGFB1I1 protein is 461 amino acid residues in length and 49.8 kilodaltons in mass. However, as many as 2 protein isoforms have been identified. It is localized to the nucleus, cell junctions, and cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue specificity, it is reported to be expressed in platelets, smooth muscle and prostate stromal cells. This protein is known to be phosphorylated. Other names for this target antigen include ARA55.
