PPL ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein periplakin, which is encoded by the PPL gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a known component of the cornified envelope of keratinocytes. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 1756 residues, a mass of 204.7 kDa, and is a member of the Plakin or cytolinker protein family. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane and cytoplasm and is reported to be expressed in stratified squamous epithelia and in some other epithelia. Other alias names for this target include 190 kDa paraneoplastic pemphigus antigen and 195 kDa cornified envelope precursor protein.
There are PPL ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 30 ng/L and as high as 40 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
