GRN ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein granulin precursor, which is encoded by the GRN gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to be a secreted protein that acts as a key regulator of lysosomal function and as a growth factor involved in inflammation, wound healing and cell proliferation. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 593 residues, a mass of 63.5 kDa, and is a member of the Granulin protein family. It is known to be localized in the lysosomes and is secreted. As many as 3 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally cleaved and glycosylated. The GRN gene has been associated with the disease, Ubiquitin-positive frontotemporal dementia. Other alias names for this target include GEP, GP88, PCDGF, PEPI, PGRN, progranulin, PC cell-derived growth factor, and CLN11.
There are GRN ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 1 ng/L and as high as 200 µg/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
