TRMT2A ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein tRNA methyltransferase 2 homolog A, which is encoded by the TRMT2A gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to be a S-adenosyl-L-methionine-dependent methyltransferase that catalyzes the formation of 5-methyl-uridine in tRNAs and some mRNAs. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 625 residues, a mass of 68.7 kDa, and is a member of the RNA M5U methyltransferase protein family. It is known to be localized in the cytoplasm. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. Other alias names for this target include tRNA (uracil-5-)-methyltransferase homolog A, TRM2 tRNA methyltransferase 2 homolog A, hpaII tiny fragments locus 9c protein, mRNA (uracil-5-)-methyltransferase TRMT2A, and HTF9C.
The detection range for different TRMT2A ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
