BAP1 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein BRCA1 associated protein 1, which is encoded by the BAP1 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is a type of deubiquitinating enzyme that plays a key role in chromatin by mediating deubiquitination of histone H2A and HCFC1. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 729 residues, a mass of 80.4 kDa, and is a member of the Peptidase C12 protein family. It is known to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm and is reported to be highly expressed in testis, placenta and ovary. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally ubiquitinated. The BAP1 gene has been associated with the disease, Mesothelioma. Other alias names for this target include KURIS, TPDS1, UBM2, UCHL2, UVM2, hucep-6, ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase BAP1, and HUCEP-13.
The detection range for different BAP1 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 0.156 ng/mL and as high as 7000 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
