PTS ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein 6-pyruvoyltetrahydropterin synthase, which is encoded by the PTS gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to be involved in biosynthesis of tetrahydrobiopterin, an essential cofactor of aromatic amino acid hydroxylases. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 145 residues, a mass of 16.4 kDa, and is a member of the PTPS protein family. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally phosphorylated. The PTS gene has been associated with the disease, Hyperphenylalaninemia. Other alias names for this target include 6-pyruvoyl tetrahydrobiopterin synthase, PTP synthase, and PTPS.
There are PTS ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 15.625 pg/mL and as high as 20 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
