PI16 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein peptidase inhibitor 16, which is encoded by the PI16 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is believed to inhibit cardiomyocyte growth. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 463 residues, a mass of 49.5 kDa, and is a member of the CRISP protein family. It is known to be secreted and is reported to be expressed in prostate, testis, ovary and intestine. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally O-glycosylated. Other alias names for this target include cysteine-rich secretory protein 9, microseminoprotein, beta-binding protein, protease inhibitor 16, and PSP94-binding protein.
There are PI16 ELISA kits that can detect a target at concentrations as low as 62.5 pg/mL and as high as 50 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
