PCOLCE2 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein procollagen C-endopeptidase enhancer 2, which is encoded by the PCOLCE2 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to bind to the C-terminal propeptide of types I and II procollagens and may enhance the cleavage of that propeptide by BMP1. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 415 residues and a mass of 45.7 kDa. It is known to be secreted and is reported to be highly expressed in the heart, trabecular meshwork, pituitary gland, bladder, mammary gland, trachea and placenta and weakly expressed in the brain. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally O-glycosylated. Other alias names for this target include procollagen C-proteinase enhancer 2, procollagen COOH-terminal proteinase enhancer 2, and PCPE2.
The detection range for different PCOLCE2 ELISA kits can vary, with some assays measuring target concentrations as low as 0.1 ng/mL and as high as 100 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
