NOVA2 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein NOVA alternative splicing regulator 2, which is encoded by the NOVA2 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is reported to function to regulate alternative splicing in neurons by binding pre-mRNA in a sequence-specific manner to activate exon inclusion or exclusion. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid sequence of 492 residues and a mass of 49 kDa. It is known to be localized in the nucleus and is notably expressed in the brain. The NOVA2 gene has been associated with the disease, Neurodevelopmental disorder with or without autistic features and/or structural brain abnormalities. Other alias names for this target include NEDASB, NOVA3, RNA-binding protein Nova-2, astrocytic NOVA1-like RNA-binding protein, neuro-oncological ventral antigen 2, and ANOVA.
