PGLYRP2 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein peptidoglycan recognition protein 2, which is encoded by the PGLYRP2 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is believed to play a scavenger role by digesting biologically active peptidoglycan (PGN) into biologically inactive fragments. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 576 residues, a mass of 62.2 kDa, and is a member of the N-acetylmuramoyl-L-alanine amidase 2 protein family. It is known to be secreted and is reported to be highly expressed in liver and fetal liver, and secreted into serum. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated. Other alias names for this target include peptidoglycan recognition protein L, peptidoglycan recognition protein long, and N-acetylmuramoyl-L-alanine amidase.
Some PGLYRP2 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 15.6 pg/mL and as high as 100 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
