GAL3ST3 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein galactose-3-O-sulfotransferase 3, which is encoded by the GAL3ST3 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be involved in metabolic processes. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 431 residues, a mass of 49 kDa, and is a member of the Galactose-3-O-sulfotransferase protein family. It is known to be localized in the golgi and is reported to be highly expressed in thyroid, brain, kidney, heart and spinal cord. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated. Other alias names for this target include gal-beta-1, 3-GalNAc 3'-sulfotransferase 3, galactose 3'-sulfotransferase, galbeta1-3GalNAc 3'-sulfotransferase 3, and beta-galactose-3-O-sulfotransferase 3.
