CNTN5 ELISA kits are immunoassay tools for the measurement of the protein contactin 5, which is encoded by the CNTN5 gene in humans. Functionally, this protein is known to be involved in axon guidance and brain development. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 1100 residues, a mass of 120.7 kDa, and is a member of the Contactin protein family. It is known to be localized in the cell membrane and is reported to be expressed in the brain and kidney and at very low level in placenta. As many as 3 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally glycosylated. Other alias names for this target include NB-2, neural adhesion molecule, neural recognition molecule NB-2, and HNB-2s.
Some CNTN5 ELISA kits can detect targets at levels as low as 15 ng/L and as high as 10 ng/mL. Click on the products below for more detailed ELISA kit information, such as target reactivity and assay sensitivity.
