Functionally, this protein is reported to be a positive effector of the Wnt signaling pathway; activates WNT3A signaling via DVL2. The canonical protein structure is reported to have an amino acid length of 683 residues, a mass of 77.5 kDa, and is a member of the DIXDC1 protein family. It is known to be localized in the cell junctions and cytoplasm and is widely expressed across many tissue types. As many as 4 protein isoforms have been reported. The protein has been noted to be post-translationally ubiquitinated and phosphorylated. Other alias names for this target include dixin and coiled-coil protein DIX1.
