Its subcellular location is known to be in the ER and golgi. In addition, it is reported to be highly expressed in the adult and fetal central nervous system. As many as 2 protein isoforms have been reported. The gene encoding this protein has been associated with the disease, Spastic paraplegia. This protein may also be known as FSP1, GBP3, HSN1D, SPG3, SPG3A, atlastin1, atlastin-1, and AD-FSP.

    We used this antibody to immunofluorescently label astrocytes in the mouse dorsal hippocampus following astrocyte-specific MOR knockdown.
